INTERNATIONAL COVER DOG FUTURITY
INTRODUCING THE FIRST
ANNUAL
International
Cover Dog Futurity
|
Board Of Directors: Lloyd Murray |
Mission Statement
The
International Cover Dog Futurity will be run on grouse and woodcock in natural
northeast covers over multiple courses. Our
goal is to recognize, stimulate and reward breeders that produce Championship
caliber cover dogs; and to recognize and reward trainers and dogs that produce
performances that exhibit the potential to go on and win a grouse or woodcock
cover dog championship. The
winning performances will exhibit
the class, style, drive, intelligence, bird sense, rapport with handler, and
ability to handle grouse and woodcock expected of a future champion. Those performances that show the most overall potential
are to be rewarded.
The
initial running of the Futurity will be in the fall of 2001, or the spring of
2002.
International
Cover Dog Puppy Classic
In
addition to the Futurity, a Cover Dog Puppy Classic will be run each year for
those dogs from litters nominated for the following years Futurity.
Hosted
by the Northern New Hampshire Bird Dog Club.
To be run at the Kilkenny or the Phillips Brook Field Trial Areas.
